A motor vehicle accident in the Bronx resulted in the death of the driver. The driver’s female passenger was injured in this accident as well.

The details of this accident:

This accident happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. It occurred when a 22-year-old man was driving his 2009 Subaru sedan on the Northbound Hutchinson River Parkway in the Bronx, says the NYPD (New York Police Department). The initial police investigation reveals that the Subaru sedan collided with a 2007 BMW.

A 33-year-old female was driving the BMW, also travelling northbound. The impact of this motor vehicle accident was so severe that the Subaru sedan continued moving after the collision and hit a tree.

Both were taken to a nearby medical facility where the Subaru’s driver was pronounced dead by doctors. The woman injured in the accident was in critical condition. The driver of the BMW involved in the accident, and her 48-year-old passenger, did not suffer any injuries. Both of them remained at the scene.

The police are investigating this accident further, but the identification of the deceased is pending for the family notification, said authorities.
